Richard
Taylor
Richard attended Florida Junior College
as a music major in classical guitar, studying under Manuel Fraguela.
Richard also played electric guitar in the school’s jazz band
and
with various rock groups. After 6 years of playing electric guitar
in rock bands fulltime, the guitars were put away and either sold or
stored in a closet for the next 20+ years.
In early 2006, the classical guitar was
dusted off, new strings put on and the joy and excitement of the
guitar was rekindled. Shortly thereafter, after a chance encounter
with Ted Wray, the guild had a new member. Classical and
fingerstyle guitar have become a passion that will last a lifetime.
Influences include Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, Chet Atkins, Steve
Howe and many other fingerstyle guitarists.
