About us
The Guild had its beginnings in 2005 at a Memorial Day “Guitarbeque” at John Liberman’s. John, Ted, Terry and Sal agreed that they should get together again. In November 2005 the group started monthly meetings to share their passion for fingerstyle guitar.
The Guild is active in three major areas:
- Informal meetings, where we discuss favorite artists, guitar models, playing unplugged circle, and share knowledge;
- Exclusive fingerstyle guitar Showcases, for practicing in performance mode and introducing fingerstyle guitar to new guitar players, getting experienced guitar musicians involved in the art of fingerstyle playing, and bringing forth the sounds and the style for the enjoyment and education of the general public;
- Paid performances, where select members of the Guild play at your events. This could mean three or more members, depending on their availability. Please see our Performance Roster.
